She's working late ‘cause she’s a singer— meet Sabrina Carpenter! This blonde superstar is on the rise— a new two time Grammy winner for Recording Academy's Pop Vocal Album and Pop Solo Performance of the year. But, where did this espresso lover exactly come from?

Sabrina Carpenter hasn’t always been a pop star. Her career first notably took off acting in Disney’s 2014 show, Girl Meets World, where Carpenter played Maya Hart. With the Girl Meets World concluding in 2017, Carpenter is later to be seen in shows such as Adventures in Babysitting, The Hate U Give, Tall Girl, Clouds, and Emergency.

During her role in Girl Meets World Sabrina Carpenter released her debut EP, Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying, which would later be followed by her album Eyes Wide Open. Carpenter notably first became successful with her music career after her second album Evolution. This is where her song Thumbs, became popular especially within social media. Two years later, she released her album Singular: Act I which was, a year later, followed by Singular: Act II. This is when Carpenter’s contract would end with Disney-owned Hollywood Records. These albums placed at 103 and 138 on US Billboard 200.

Moving forward with her career, Carpenter signed a deal with Island Records in 2021. A year later is when she released her 5th album, Emails I Can’t Send. This album reached 23 on US Billboard 200. This album featured hit singles Feather and Nonsense. She continued to gain popularity opening for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. In August of 2024, she released her record breaking album, Short ‘n Sweet.

Sabrina Carpenter's 6th album, Short ‘n Sweet, is her most successful and award winning album. This album features hit singles Espresso, Please Please Please, and Taste. These songs were featured on Billboard Global 200. These ranked, in order, No.1 Global Song of the Summer, No.4 Global Billboard 200 and No.2 Global Billboard 200. As a whole, the album ranked No.1 Album on Billboard Global 200 on September 7th, 2024. The album became Platinum-certified, receiving many awards such as 67th Annual Grammy Awards Best Pop Vocal Album, and Espresso winning Best Pop Solo Performance.

Sabrina Carpenter is walking proof that success doesn’t happen overnight. And she still is on the rise, with her recent announcement of the Short and Sweet Deluxe Album which will be released February 14th, 2025. This album will feature Dolly Parton on Please Please Please. And new songs 15 minutes, Can’t Make It Any Harder, Busy Woman and Bad Reviews. Carpenter's career continues to rise, with fans all over the world supporting her and her career. There is so much more to come.
