Ariana Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Tour Sells Out in Minutes, Leaving Millions of Fans Frustrated

Pop icon Ariana Grande is finally returning to the big stage, and it has left fans both excited and frustrated. After nearly six years since her last major tour, The Sweetener World Tour, fans were thrilled to see the artist announce her 2026 Eternal Sunshine Tour. For many however, the experience of buying tickets has been nothing short of chaos and disappointment for the thousands who left the presale and general sale empty handed.

“I felt absolutely devastated and infuriated,” Katy Hee ‘27 said. “The prices were reasonable, the only thing that was upsetting was how greedy people were with the tickets.”

The Eternal Sunshine Tour is set to kick off on June 6 of next year at Oakland Arena in California, and run through the summer until concluding with a five night run at London’s O2 Arena in August. Stops will include major cities such as Montreal, Chicago, Brooklyn, and much more.

As soon as tickets went live on September 10, they were gone within minutes. With Grande’s major return after years away from touring, demand was high, and her decision to perform strictly in arenas instead of stadiums had limited the amount of tickets available.

Fans faced seemingly endless Ticketmaster queues and error codes only for many of the tickets to already have been sold or resold for extreme prices by scalpers. Even on resale sites like StubHub, Vivid Seats and SeatGeek were quickly flooded with overpriced listings, far beyond what average fans could afford.

“For people who were able to get tickets, they got tickets for multiple shows. I wish there was a limit on how many tickets for each show you [could] buy,” Hee added.

Some fans may still have a chance of snagging seats through resale tickets, but at the risk of scams or marked up prices. Others are calling on Grande and Ticketmaster to stop dynamic pricing and to move the tour to bigger venues to accommodate demands. For now, fans without tickets may just have to wait and hope to see if Grande and her team will add any more additional dates to the tour.
